LIGHTING UP IN MAY 2019
Over the first weekend in May, buildings across our state will #LightItUp4HD, with iconic buildings lighting up in blue and/or purple to raise awareness of Huntington’s disease.
This year we have been able to gain even more support from iconic buildings across the state that will light blue and purple including:
- Optus Stadium May 3rd
- Elizabeth Quay May 3rd & 4th
- Trafalgar Bridge May 3rd & 4th
- The Bell Tower May 3rd & 4th
- Fremantle Prison May 3rd & 4th
- Yagan Square Digital Screen May 3rd & 4th
- Mandurah Bridge Mary 4th
- Bunbury Koombana Footbridge May 3rd to 5th
- Geraldton Queens Park Theatre May 3rd & 4th
If you are in the vicinity of any of the other sites lighting up for HD we would love you to share your photos with us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or share on facebook using the hashtag #LightItUp4HD.
To bring the community together Huntington’s WA has arranged with The Royal, on the Waterfront in East Perth, to reserve an area for our community members, families and friends to meet on Friday 3rd May at 6.30pm. This is a great location for viewing Trafalgar Bridge and Optus Stadium as they #LightItUp4HD. The venue is wheelchair and disability access friendly.
An RSVP is required by 11th April to ensure adequate seating is available at the venue email@example.com
This is a great opportunity for our community to get together as part of May Awareness month. Please join us in support of this global initiative.
