Huntington's Disease (HD) is a fatal inherited neurodegenerative disease that affects hundreds of Western Australian families. The emotional and financial burden for those impacted by Huntington's Disease is immense.
At present there is no cure. Huntington's WA provides and connects people with the services, advice and information they need.
About Huntington's WA
HWA was formed specifically to improve the quality of life for people with Huntington's Disease, their families and carers, in Western Australia. The Association is dedicated to providing advocacy, support and education for the Huntington's community. HWA aims to empower those affected by HD to meet the extraordinary challenges they face.
Giving Opportunities
To support HWA, sponsorship, cash donations and bequests have the potential to make a profound difference. Cash donations can be used to fund new project initiatives (e.g. Developing fact sheets, education materials, or supporting research), to bolster valued services such as retreats and much needed youth services, or to support public health campaigns to promote community awareness of HD and reduce stigma.
